LOL! It's no wonder he's having problems. :-)

I can't confirm it, but it's very likely that ASL v44 depends on OS 3.5+
somehow internally. I suggest you tell him to install the proper version
for his OS or stop freeloading by going out and actually buying OS 3.9, if
he wants the advantages. :-)
